Here’s a kinda raw but pretty cool video showing the metal side of the Peavey ValveKing 112 combo amp. The video is pretty short and it only features the distorted channel of the amp, but of all the ValveKing 112 videos I watched I liked this one the most. The guitar is tuned down obviously, as the dude is playing mostly Killswitch Engage riffs. For all of you that haven’t heard this kick-ass band – they play excellent, heavy but melodic metalcore, and personally I consider them the masters of truly heavy riffing.

There’s quite a number of the Peavey ValveKing 112 videos online, but most of them focus on the amp’s clean and crunch sounds. While these are great, it’s also good to hear how metal the ValveKing can sound. This is exactly what you can hear in this video. The Peavey 112 ValveKing combo is a very versatile little amp, capable of delivering a variety of tones, from blues, funk, jazz or country to full-blown metal. The most amazing thing about this combo is its price – for the money, you are unlikely to ever get anything better than this amplifier.
